NMDP-SAMAR & AAPI-MSRF Scholarship

APPLICATIONS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW (DEADLINE WAS NOV 1 2007)

National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) in conjunction with AAPI-MSRF is proud to sponsor two $1000 scholarships. These scholarships will be awarded at the 2008 AAPI National Convention subject to the accomplishment of the following goals and objectives during the year:

1. Community outreach to raise awareness about the donor program.
2. Educate members of AAPI-MSR about the resources available from NMDP to enable timely referral of patients.
3. Host donor recruitment drives in collaboration with South Asian Marrow Association of Recruiters (SAMAR). The number of donors recruited will be an important factor in selecting the winner.
4. Affirmation of long term commitment to the donor recruitment program.

Qualifying Criteria

1. Medical student, resident, or fellow currently in training.
2. Member of AAPI-MSR in good standing.

Application Requirements

1. Project Application
2. Scholarship money will be utilized for activities to pursue medical education (books, tuition, and other related expenses).
