AAPI 2007 National Convention
While the American Association
of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) celebrated its "Silver Jubilee"
25th Anniversary May 9-13th in Philadelphia, PA, the Medical Student,
Resident, and Fellows section (AAPI-MSRF) had its own reason to
celebrate. This year marked AAPI-MSRF's 10th Anniversary with >400
attendees making this year the largest convention for AAPI-MSRF. Guest
speakers included Dr. Sudip Bose, an Emergency Medicine physician
that served in Iraq, and Dr. Pauline Chen, a transplant surgeon and
author to name a few. In addition to educational daytime events,
AAPI-MSRF celebrated the evenings in grand style at local venues with
the finale at the Philadelphia Museum of Art....

AAPI-MSRF Heats up HOT-Lanta!
The American Association of
Physicians of Indian Origin had their annual conference in Atlanta
running from June 28,2006 to July 2,2006 and the medical
student/resident/fellow section (AAPI-MSRF) had a large turnout.
Highlights of the conference included a national service project with
the Boys and Girls Club of Atlanta, a social gala held at the elegant
High Museum of Art, an event attended by Dr. Sanjay Gupta, CNN medical
correspondent/neurosurgery professor at Emory University...

AAPI 2005 National Convention
The 2005 AAPI Convention was
lauded as a resounding success. Over 3000 people attended the
convention in Houston including over 400 medical students, residents
and fellows and other young physicians.

MSRF Service Event in Houston
During AAPI's conference in Houston,
MSRF partnered with the Texas Department of Health to conduct an Anti
Tobacco Workshop at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston.
