Are you interested in applying for a competitive specialty such as a Radiation Oncology residency or a Cardiology fellowship?  Did you recently match and have useful advice to offer?  If so, come to our informal forum on applying to competitive specialties designed as an information exchange for the "do"s and "don't"s of the application process.  Come meet fellow applicants, residents, and fellows who have gone through the process and can offer you advice.  If you are specifically interested in being a designated mentor for a given specialty, please e-mail Chirag Parghi at presidentelect.aapimsrf@gmail.com.  Young attendings are also encouraged to attend and contribute.

Develop your Career & Professional Relationships through Networking - Benoy Thanjan
Networking skills are not taught in medical school or residency programs and would be very beneficial for young doctors.  The presentation's content are about the benefits of networking and how to network.  Then, there are two networking exercises which are great ways to learn how to network and also used as icebreakers so that everyone can meet each other.  This session is interactive and the audience will use the networking skills that they learned for Speed Networking and Networking Bingo.
